I discovered this the other day when looking for ocarina tabs(I ordered one the other day and I am quite excited to start playing.). The lyrics are just sung in place of the regular lines of Amazing Grace. I think they are worth memorizing and substituting them in whenever possible. What do you think, is it too much to desecrate such a deep and beloved song?

I find this image to be quite true. It seems like Christianity has lost touch with its “core beliefs”. Aren’t Christians supposed to be happy and loving? Usually they are just yelling at me and condmening me to Hell for all of eternity.

Okay here is a chance to quickly and easily test your devotion. At the end of this post, I will place a blue oval. To pass, you just have to look at it until you see God. It should not be too difficult if you are a true believer. Let me know your results and what He looks like.

Why would He waste his time creating an atheist? Maybe I am a test to their faith. I sure hope so, because their faith is bullshit.

Religions always use just the stupidest excuses to attempt to change things around. I think the absolute number one thing that is attempted is the Holy Book. Followers always claim, well its written in the Bible, Koran, Book of Mormon ect. is that not enough proof for you? It sure isn’t for me. And usually the try to make you do the impossible, prove a negative. Yet, usually they only do that because they can’t really provide much substantiation behind their ridiculous claims. The burden of proof is always on the prosecution. The religious should atleast attempt to provide logical answers. I have heard  that radioactive dating is simple “modified by atheists” or “atheist propaganda”. I really wonder where these things stemmed from, I cannot find sources nor could they produce any. Or that fossils are simply a “test”. If these people really want us to take them seriously, they need to work on their debate prep and technique. Most of them sound as bad as Sarah Palin….

Really though. If God truly did exist, and truly wanted all of us to be aware of his prescence it would be pretty easy. I mean he is omnipotent right? Yet, the biggest crime one can commit in reference to the Bible is denying the existence of the Holy Spirit. Its the one surefire ticket straight to Hell. All God would have to do is show up again like in the good old days, perform a few miracles and I would be satisfied. But unless that happens I’ll remain an atheist. Instead “His Word” is passed on by preachers and politicions with their own agendas.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Of course proof of existence would ruin the whole point of faith though….

I imagine that Muslims hate it when they are all stereotyped as “terrorists”. Or that all Jews are cheap. As an atheist I am usually exposed to my own kind of prejudice. Simple because I do not believe in God people simply assume that I have no morals. Since when did humanity become so desperate that we must fear eternal damnation to be good to each other? Not to be self-centered but I do NOT need a book filled with hatred, violence, and the such to tell me to have morals.
Maybe that is what makes atheism so unique. We are not a religion, well unless you would say clear is a color or that bald is a hair color. It is a lack of or disbelief of religion all together not some group of Satanists devout to destroy Christianity. In fact, atheists don’t even believe in Satan or the devil anyway. I hate it when people tell me I am going to Hell, its offensive because I am not a slave to the fear of Hell and it is assumed I share that belief. As Atheists, we are all different. The community consists of blacks, whites, young, old, Democrats, Republicans, and anybody in between. We aren’t a group of like-minded sheep who cower in fear of a “benevolent and loving” God. Not all Atheists share the same exact beliefs anyway, we can have disagreements something the religious can’t hope to understand. Religion does have a place I would guess though, to act as a crutch to the weak and as a tool to the strong. There is no logic no proof, just overused, age old scare tactics. The nonreligious are one of the fastest growing groups of people today. Considering we don’t live in the Dark Ages under the rule of the church where one can be executed for not believing, more people feel comfortable in accepting their Atheism. Nonreligious people are the fourth largest group in terms of spiritual grouping(even though technically not a group). All of the closet atheists out there, I encourage you to embrace who you are! Break free and think for yourself, use the power of Logic and Reason over Faith! I think you will be amazed!
