Do you ever stop and think about how 1/3 of the world is starving? How thousands die daily from starvation? Yet here in America we have so much food we have fucks who are trying to stop the advancement of technology which could solve our food crisis.
These assholes try and tell you about how unsafe and unregulated genetically modified foods are. That’s just plain and simple not true.

Three federal agencies–the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Agriculture and the Environmental Protection Agency–have primary responsibility for the regulation of biotechnology products. At least ten different laws and numerous agency regulations and guidelines cover such products as food, animal feed, human and animal drugs and biologics, pesticides, plant pests and toxic substances. Each of these laws was developed before the advent of biotechnology products and reflects widely different regulatory approaches and procedures.

All three major regulators monitor genetically modified food. Also they say that this is “playing God”, well what the hell do you think has been going on with these crops for the last 10,000 years. Corn used to be small cobs that really weren’t very edible at all. Over time through natural and artificial selection it has turned into the product we see today. I simply see genetic engineering as an enhanced version of artificial selection. Activists say that this will destroy all the clean organic food. I’d like to see how we can grow enough “organic” food for the entire planet. How about we use technology to feed everybody first and then go about alternative options? Really though, if you are able to easily get food you need to stop bitching and remember there are people DYING from starvation.

Unfortunately, these scare tactics have worked a few times. A few years ago the Zambian government rejected a donation of tons of genetically modified food to feed their people. The leaders were scared into thinking this food was poisonous. These countries lack technology, why can’t we diffuse some of it to them? These organic assholes need to shove an XXL sock in it. Maybe once the whole world is able to eat I will give them a chance for explanation. Until then they need to simply shut the fuck up.

Your sentiment and mind are in the right place, but you are placing trust into our masters. The FDA/EPA/DOA are ALL in bed (literally) with the likes of those who are now PURCHASING (literally) life. It's simply more than just food now (and frankly always has been, us poor people are always so naively full of social justice).

The organic angle, though marred by the tired lies and delusions and everything else, IS liberating because YOU can do it. Buying it is playing the same game!

If you want fresh shit, GROW IT.

What do you have to do that is better?
Work to make walmart more rich or work to make your life more rich?

The perspective is given such a terrible light because there's no money in people doing things for themselves. That very same line of reasoning is used to condemn us friend!

This is precisely why the false dichotomy is set up so that way they WONT clone enough food because it's merely another PRODUCT. EVERYTHING IS DOLLAR SIGNS MY FRIEND. Don't buy that nasty shit (sold by one of our subsidiaries) buy this instead! It's organic!

I do hope you have come to see this in a similar fashion.
