Today I read an article that states Ireland has recently passed legislation making blasphemy illegal. And that’s not all simply possessing blasphemous things could make you subject to a search. Glad I don’t live in Ireland because my copy of the God Delusion is enough to provoke a thorough search of my household. This type of stuff is seriously ridiculous. This looks like a clear reversal of free speech. I sure hope this dumb idea doesn’t travel east to America. I can already see people jumping on the idea over here.
